The RUBBER MIXING MILL is mainly used for rubber plasticizing, mixing, hot refining, tablet pressing and rubber supply, and can also be used for crushing, kneading and refining in the production of reclaimed rubber.
The main components of the RUBBER MIXING MILL: roller, roller bearing, Roller nip adjustment device, safety brake device and roller temperature adjustment device.
( 1 ) Roller
Roller is the most important part of RUBBER MIXING MILL. It is directly involved in the completion of rubber refining part of the industry, the impact on the performance of the open mill is also the greatest. Therefore, great attention should be paid to the design, manufacture and use of rollers.
The roller material is generally made of chilled cast iron.
Roller structure generally has two kinds: one is hollow structure; the other is the circular drilling structure.
( 2 ) Roller bearing
The roller bearing bears a large load in the RUBBER MIXING MILL, and the sliding speed is low and the temperature is high. Therefore, the bearing is required to be wear-resistant, strong bearing capacity, long service life, convenient manufacturing and installation.
Roller bearing mainly adopts sliding bearing and rolling bearing.
( 3 ) Roller nip adjustment device
According to the requirements of different mixing processes, the roll spacing should be changed frequently when the mill is working. Therefore, on both sides of the front roller rack need to be equipped with a pair of adjustment device, the adjustment range is generally 0.1 ~ 15mm. The roll spacing should not be too large to avoid damage to the speed ratio gear due to poor meshing.
According to the power source, the adjusting distance device can be divided into manual, electric and hydraulic transmission.
( 4 ) Safety braking device
In the process of using the RUBBER MIXING MILL, due to many manual operations and heavy workload, it is easy to cause personal and equipment accidents once the operation is improper, so it is necessary to set up a safe braking device.
( 5 ) Roller temperature adjustment device
Since the rubber is repeatedly kneaded through the roll pitch during rubber mixing, the rubber molecules rub against each other, causing the rubber temperature to rise. According to the requirements of the mixing process, the surface of the mill roller should be kept at a certain temperature to ensure good mixing effect, high quality and short time. In order to ensure the process requirements of the rubber mixing, the mill roller must be cooled, through the roller to reduce the temperature of the rubber. Therefore, from the perspective of rubber mixing process, the mill needs to install a roll temperature adjustment device.
