Rubber Extruder and The main structure of the extruder

The Extruder is one of the main equipment in the process of rubber and plastic products.


The extruder has the advantages of high production capacity, continuous production, uniform and dense product texture, accurate specification size, easy to change the concept specifications of product regulation, the same machine can be applied to a variety of process uses, simple structure, easy manufacturing, easy operation, etc.


The main structure of the extruder: extrusion system, transmission system, heating and cooling temperature control system and electrical control system.

 

1. Extrusion system: by the head, barrel and screw composition. Its role is to convey, extrude and plasticize the rubber, and then obtain the required shape of semi-finished products.

2. Transmission part: It is composed of reducer, coupling and motor, whose role is to transmit power to make the screw rotate to complete the extrusion operation.

3. Heating and cooling temperature regulation system: It consists of pipeline and distributor, whose role is to control the temperature in production and ensure the quality of extruded products.

4. Electrical control system: composed of electrical instruments and components, its role is to control the operation of the motor and process operating conditions.

 

The main components of the extruder: screw, barrel, head, temperature control system

1. Screw

Screw in the work of generating sufficient pressure to overcome the flow of rubber resistance to be extruded, while plasticizing, mixing, compression, so as to obtain a dense and uniform semi-finished products.

The material of the screw should have sufficient strength, rigidity and high temperature without deformation, high chemical resistance, good wear resistance, the screw should also have good thermal conductivity.

2. Barrel

The barrel works with the screw, so that the rubber is subject to the barrel wall and the interaction of the rotating screw to ensure that the rubber moves under pressure and kneading, usually it also plays a role in heat exchange, so the structure of the barrel form and heating, cooling methods.

The barrel should be strong enough to ensure the kneading and plasticizing of the threshing, and can meet the requirements of heating and cooling.

3. Head

The head is the last gate of the rubber in the extrusion process, and its role and structure are different for different extrusion processes (such as pressing, filtering, mixing, granulation, etc.). The main function of the head is to make the rubber material change from spiral movement to linear movement, so that the rubber material in the barrel can produce the necessary extrusion pressure before extrusion, in order to ensure that the finished product is dense, so that the rubber material can be further plasticized evenly and the extruded semi-finished product can be formed.

4. Temperature control system

The temperature of the extruder directly affects the quality of the product, in the extrusion section and the head should have higher temperature requirements to ensure the flow of rubber extrusion, the highest temperature in the extruder's mouth-shaped parts to get a smooth semi-finished products.

The temperature control system of extruder generally has two kinds of steam heating and electric heating.
